U.S. treaty partners require the IRS to certify that the company or person claiming treaty benefits is a resident of the United States for the federal tax purposes. The IRS provides this residency certification on Form 6166. This letter is typically referred to U.S. Residency Certification.

Certificate to Pharmaceutical Product Apostille – CPP

Do you need an apostille on a Certificate to Pharmaceutical Product (CPP)?

The United States Food and drug Administration (FDA) issues Certificate of Pharmaceutical Product (CPP) that can be used in countries who are members of the Hague Apostille Convention. This certificate conforms to the format recommended by the World Health Organization.

Firms exporting products from the U.S. are often asked by foreign customers or foreign governments to supply a certificate relating to products subject to the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Under the FDA Export Reform and Enhancement Act of 1996 (the Act), FDA is authorized to issue certificates for drugs, animal drugs, and devices within 20 days of receipt of a request for such a certificate. A fee of up to $175 may be charged for each certificate issued. In addition to issuing export certificates for approved or licensed products, the FDA will also issue export certificates for unapproved products that meet the requirements of Sections 801(e) or 802 of the Act.

The “Certificate of a Pharmaceutical Product” conforms to the format established by the World Health Organization (WHO) and is intended for use by the importing country when the product in question is under consideration for a product license that will authorize its importation and sale or for renewal, extension, amending or reviewing a license.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) of the United States of America (USA), attach different colored Ribbons to the CPP, which mark the content details.

Colored ribbons designate the type of CPP…
– Red for approved drug product, API, OTC marketed per
monograph, and export only drugs.
– Blue for unapproved drug product not marketed in the U.S.
– Yellow for drug manufactured outside of the U.S.

Passport Apostille

Do you need to apostille a passport?

At Apostille Services, we take the guesswork out of obtaining an apostille on your passport.

We can apostille any passport (Example: USA, India, UK, Russia, China, etc…) signed and notarized in all 50 U.S. states, District of Columbia, and the U.S. Federal Government (US Embassy or Consulate). For countries who are non-members of the Hague Apostille Convention, we can also process your passport through the U.S. Department of State and the Embassy or Consulate office.

Most countries will only request for you to apostille the page of your passport with your picture and information. Some countries may request for you to color copy the entire passport and only have the page with your picture and information to be signed, notarized, and apostilled. Be sure to double check with the requesting country in order to avoid any delays or additional costs.

In order to apostille your passport, you must mail in the original notarized color copy to our office for processing. If you are outside of the USA, please do not send in your original passport. We recommend that you contact the local U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate office to schedule a time to meet with a U.S. Federal notary and have the color copy signed and notarized. Once notarized, you can then mail in the notarized color copy to our Washington DC office for processing.

If you are in the United States, please meet with a local notary public. We recommend that you find a notary public who has at least five years of experience and one who will follow the notarial laws of their State. Some States require a notarized document to also be authenticated by the County Clerk. These States include: Hawaii, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, and Tennessee.

Please Note: We can only help you with documents originating from or notarized within the United States and for another country. If your passport is notarized in another country, you will need to contact the correct competent authority to assist you in that country.

Car Title Apostille

Do you need to apostille a Car Title?

Note: In order to obtain an apostille on the car title, it must be signed and notarized. Below, we have provided step-by-step instructions on how to notarize your car’s title depending on the situation.

Selling Your Vehicle: If you are selling your vehicle to an international buyer, all you need to do is meet with a local notary public and have your original car title signed and notarized.

Vehicle Stolen & Recovered: If your vehicle has been stolen and recovered in a foreign country, go ahead and make a color copy of your title and meet with a local notary public. You will need to attest that you are the owner of the recovered vehicle and that the color copy is a true copy of the original document in your possession. This is basically a sworn affidavit.

You can use the following example wording:
“I certify that I am the owner of the vehicle recovered and that this is a true color copy of the original title in my possession.”

Exporting Your Vehicle: Are you relocating to another country? Go ahead and make a color copy of your title and meet with a local notary public. You will need to attest that the color copy is a true copy of the original. This is basically a sworn affidavit.

You can use the following example wording:
“I certify that I am the owner of this vehicle and that this is a true color copy of the original title in my possession.”

Are you currently outside of the U.S. and you are a U.S. Citizen? Please visit the closest U.S. Embassy to meet with a notary there. Please contact the Embassy for an appointment as most notarization are scheduled by appointment only.
