The state of Texas has 254 Counties and each County can issue a birth certificate. In order to apostille your birth certificate, you can either mail in what you currently or you can contact the County Clerk’s office for instructions on how to obtain a new certified copy.
A birth certificate from Texas only requires the state apostille. You will need to mail in the original County Clerk issued certificate with our Texas apostille order forms. Beware of websites that ask you to upload your documents. Birth certificates from Texas are not notarized. A birth certificate from Texas can only obtain the apostille through the Texas state.
